[Clarissa has spent a lot of time familiarizing herself with the station, her room and the technology. but most of all...]

Q said we had a week before the outsiders are able to get communications thought the weird field around the station. What did he call them? Chroniton particles?

Has anyone found much about these "interested parties"?

I know that one of them, the Cardassians used to run this station, they sound unpleasant, but there's a lot to dig through and I haven't cracked the password on the Commander's Logs yet. I'm sure those will tell us a lot more.

It's worth a try. A lot of people do use the names of family or pets as passwords. Might want to try finding a birthdate or some sort of number that seems important... not sure what the policies for that sort of thing would be here, but it never stopped people from making them easy to crack before.

(Tiffany makes a face after returning to the screen. Then she glances at her and gives her a thoughtful look before continuing.)

Well, I have a few things opened, but I have the feeling that the things we really need are going to take a while... but it might be worth checking these out in case anything useful is in there somewhere. Maybe his son's name or something that could be used as a password. (Then she begins to tap away some more.)

A lot of it looks very... well, routine. We'd need to look into them still. Having a full picture of a normal day can't hurt to have. There might be information on the status of things around here, what needs to be repaired, what we can and can't do... anything helps.

Hmmm. Clarissa suddenly brights as if an idea has crossed her mind.

"Hey, Computer," she begins, "Where is Commander Sisko's son?"

"I'm sorry, Jake does not seem to be anywhere on the station." The computer swiftly replies.

"Jake huh," she grins, looking at Tiffany, "Try 'Jake' for the ones you can't get into."

While Tiffany tries that, Clarissa looks at her padd, tapping and scolling through what the woman has unlocked so far.

"Ok, so this was a Bajoran station that was occupied by the Cardassians, and then....The Federation took it over as a base with the permission of the Bajoran people..."

Hmmm. Complicated indeed.
